They should have let the unhinged spinster starve to death. That's what suffragettes deserved anyways.

How committed she was to her role. She only ate "cottage cheese, rocket, and water" for 6 weeks prior to filming so she could get in character for the hunger strike, and she only showered 4 times during the 9 week filming period.
Edit: anyone else notice how the nurse knocked over the can to keep her from drowning in the food?

Correct me if I’m wrong but could they have just held her mouth open and poorer it in? That would have been a lot easier

This is every vegan's worst nightmare: having liquid animal meat forced down their noses. God forbid if the officers posted this to social media & everybody laughed at it, that would be suicide for a vegan

for those of you saying that the people were doing it to feed her, look deeper into the history of the suffragettes… it's not true

force feeding is a form of torture
    that's all it is

it would be a lie to claim that anyone fed this way is fed this way for their own benefit

I used to hate getting water up my nose when I went swimming I can’t imagine people holding you down and forcing liquid down your nose and throat. The idea of women not having the vote was terrible and didn’t make sense because they still had to obey the laws even though they had no say in what those laws were and who was in office.

to be honest with you the reason they did that was so she wouldn't die but although a quite harsh they had to feed her someway

The dangers of force feeding via nasal tubes, is that especially with the person struggling it's very hard to place the tube correctly.

If incorrectly placed as regularly happened, the food goes into the lungs causing pneumonia or into the brain causing excess fluid to collect at best, at worst a stroke.
