I'm not sure why your commentary is so cringey or why a mod without income would be shut down. Confusing times

I just found out that EA shutdown this, but i have an idea.
Why wont we all as a fan base getter donations to give these people and then let them put it up free as a mod that way EA cant do s*it

Can we crowdfund the rights to release this? I would happily donate and I'm sure a lot of other kotor fans would too

They should've just named it Apeiron and make it "Kotor inspired". That way this project could've still be alive today.

Me, everytime I see something Star Wars related

Tbh I wish modders would just not announce their remasters at all until it's finished, then release it. Or even release it anonymously. So much potential down the drain!

Why is this showing up in my feed even though I watched it already and it's been canceled… Youtube are my feeling a joke to you?

All I want for christmas is this. Ps. I hope they continued to make this despite of EA/Disney/Lucas cancelling this. Release this to the dark web or something.

What the heck is wrong with EA and disney? instead of killing the project they should took it under their umbrella. The Jedi Fallen Order, also uses UE 4 instead of this junk frostbite crap, that's unoptimized and poorly running on anything. I purchased batlefront II before launch…. and it was unplayable from day one, could not get online, and by the time i finished single player… bla bla no refund. EA Dont care. Strange to see that lucasarts actually stood up for the Vader Shards of the past fan film and saved it. Why it cannot be done with a game?? Isnt a fan film still using lucasarts copyright materials or what not? This case please shut down all the fan mods for previous games too. And see how long a game lasts on the market.

If Disney/Lucasfilm was decent, they would have left this project alone with a pass to allow it. If they were smart however, Disney/Lucasfilm would of hired on these devs and provided additional help to complete the game as a high end standalone product and sell it with split profits. Sadly Disney/Lucasfilm and smart, are not words you will see in a sentence, except maybe with "is not" used in between. A Kotor remake has been desired for years but only fans seem to actually care enough to do it…..and then Disney comes and shuts it down.

It really saddens me this project was shut down. looks really beautiful. But instead of remaking the entire game ,why not create an small and playable demo ? not only showing graphics, but improved gameplay and sound. I kind of understand the top dogs banning ambitious projects like these. but an simpler self contained demo is less threatening and can serve as ispiration for an future official remake. Could even be the entrance door to those fan developers becoming professionals !!

So sad. We wouldve been so close to the release of this mod now, a year later. Damn you Disney, and damn you EA.

This is another proof that EA and Disney would rather kill a project than keeping their fans happy. Had this been Ubisoft or CDPR they would have remade KOTOR 1 and 2 and they would have dropped them to their paying customers as gifts. Instead BULLSHIT company EA is closing fan admiring projects and are certainly looking into how to microtransaction, or should i say surprise mechanic, the FUCK out of the games. Ubi just gave for free the remade AC3 to everyone that bought Odyssey, CDPR gave for free Witcher2 to all the bought W3. I mean come on… how more proof do the courts need that EA and Disney are just a money grabbing corrupt machine that is ruining the traditional, quality gaming industry?

Disney is supposedly one of the biggest companies in the world but one remaster mod makes them so upset like wtf

  16. Mudkip 454 4 July, 2020 at 08:08 Reply

Lucasfilm and Disney had no right to cancel this. It was a complete and original remake with no monetization. And if I remember right, it was going to be an add on you would install after buying the original game… so if anything it would have generated more money for Disney.

I'm so F..king regreting now that I've paid to those assh.les for the game after I've learned they've shoot down this project. I'll never ever pay anything to EA or LUCAS again !!!!

  18. Laszlo Kiss 4 July, 2020 at 08:08 Reply

BOYCOT EA !!! I will never buy another ea game as long as i live they have totally robbed us of the greatness that could have been total bs give the customers what they want id pay upwards of 60 bucks for a kotor 3 or even a remastered kotor 1 and 2 this was the greatest video game series of all time even with how flawed kotor 2 was the immersion is still unmatched

  19. Raz Adrift 4 July, 2020 at 08:08 Reply

i know this has been cancelled. however, if a new kotor was made, with this graphic and at least a decent story, then i think i would play it for at least 30 times from start to finish.
